Dr Manveen Kaur, Principal of DAV Vedanta International School, Lanjigarh, was recently honoured in Rourkela for her remarkable contributions to education and the upliftment of the Sikh community during her tenure as Principal of Guru Nanak Public School, Rourkela (2014–2025).The honour was conferred on the occasion of the 350th Shaheedi Divas of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, during a grand ceremony organized by the management committee of Shri Guru Singh Sabha, Sri Satsang of Shri Guru Singh Sabha, and the faculty of Guru Nanak Public School and Guru Nanak Khalsa School. The event witnessed the presence of over 2,000 members of the Sikh community and was marked by a spiritually enriching Katha-Kirtan session by renowned Ragis and Katha Vachaks from across India. The program concluded with the traditional Guru ka Langar, served to all attendees.Dr Manveen Kaur was lauded for her visionary leadership at Guru Nanak Public School, where she led the institution to achieve 100% board results in Classes 10 and 12 for eight consecutive years. Her tenure was also recognized for her emphasis on values-based education, discipline, and community outreach. Teachers, students, and community members expressed deep appreciation for her role in elevating the status of the school and empowering young learners through quality education.Having recently taken over as Principal of DAV Vedanta International School, Lanjigarh, Dr Manveen Kaur’s achievements bring pride not only to her former institution in Rourkela but also to the education community of Lanjigarh.
