Bhubaneswar, Oct 8: KIIT has been awarded the prestigious FICCI Higher Education Excellence Award in the category of ‘Excellence in Financial Sustainability & Student Access (Private)’. This recognition was presented by Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister, Road Transport & Highways during a ceremony held by FICCI in New Delhi.

The award recognises KIIT’s service towards students support and self-reliant financial model and its deep-rooted commitment to inclusivity and accessibility in higher education. The university’s pioneering efforts in providing extensive scholarships and financial aid to students from all socio-economic backgrounds, ensuring that quality education remains within reach, were lauded by the jury.

The award was received on behalf of the university by a high-level delegation comprising Prof. Dr. Saranjit Singh, Vice-Chancellor, KIIT-DU, Dr. Vikash Sabat, Deputy Director, International Relations, KIIT-DU, and Dr. Siddharth S. Rautray, Dean, Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), KIIT-DU.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Dr. Saranjit Singh VC, KIIT DU said, "Receiving this award from the Hon'ble Minister is a tremendous honour. It is a recognition of the visionary foundation laid by our Founder, Dr. Achyuta Samanta, and the collective, dedicated efforts of our entire faculty, staff, and students.

ଭୁବନେଶ୍ୱର, ୮ ।୧୦: ଉତ୍ତମ ଷ୍ଟୁଡେଣ୍ଟ ସପୋର୍ଟ ସର୍ଭିସ ତଥା ଆର୍ଥିକ ସ୍ଥିରତା ଏବଂ ଛାତ୍ର ପ୍ରବେଶାଧିକାର ଉତ୍କର୍ଷତା' ବର୍ଗରେ କିଟ୍‍ ବିଶ୍ୱବିଦ୍ୟାଳୟକୁ ପ୍ରତିଷ୍ଠିତ ଏଫ୍‍ଆଇସିସିଆଇ (ଫିକି) ଉଚ୍ଚ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଉତ୍କର୍ଷତା ପୁରସ୍କାର ପ୍ରଦାନ କରାଯାଇଛି। ନୂଆଦିଲ୍ଲୀଠାରେ ଫିକି ଦ୍ୱାରା ଆୟୋଜିତ ଏକ ସ୍ୱତନ୍ତ୍ର କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମରେ କେନ୍ଦ୍ର ସଡ଼କ ପରିବହନ ଏବଂ ରାଜପଥ ମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ନୀତିନ ଗଡକରୀ କିଟ୍‍କୁ ଏହି ପୁରସ୍କାର ପ୍ରଦାନ କରିଥିଲେ। କିଟ୍‍ ବିଶ୍ୱବିଦ୍ୟାଳୟ କୁଳପତି ପ୍ରଫେସର ଶରଣଜିତ ସିଂହ କିଟ୍‍ ପକ୍ଷରୁ ଏହି ପୁରସ୍କାର ଗ୍ରହଣ କରିଥିଲେ।

ଏହି ପୁରସ୍କାର କିଟ୍‍ ବିଶ୍ୱବିଦ୍ୟାଳୟର ଛାତ୍ର ସମର୍ଥନ, ଆତ୍ମନିର୍ଭରଶୀଳ ଆର୍ଥିକ ମଡେଲ ପ୍ରତି ସେବା, ଉଚ୍ଚଶିକ୍ଷାରେ ଅନ୍ତର୍ଭୁକ୍ତି ଏବଂ ସୁଗମତା ପ୍ରତି ଏହାର ଗଭୀର ପ୍ରତିବଦ୍ଧତାକୁ ସ୍ୱୀକୃତି ଦିଏ। ସମସ୍ତ ସାମାଜିକ-ଆର୍ଥିକ ପୃଷ୍ଠଭୂମିର ଛାତ୍ରଛାତ୍ରୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ବ୍ୟାପକ ଛାତ୍ରବୃତ୍ତି ଏବଂ ଆର୍ଥିକ ସହାୟତା ପ୍ରଦାନ କରିବାରେ କିଟ୍‍ ବିଶ୍ୱବିଦ୍ୟାଳୟର ଅଗ୍ରଣୀ ପ୍ରୟାସ ରହିଆସିଛି। ଫଳରେ କିଟ୍‍ରେ ଗୁଣାତ୍ମକ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଦିଆଯାଉଥିବା ଜୁରି ଦ୍ୱାରା ପ୍ରଶଂସା କରାଯାଇଥିଲା।

ଏହି ଅବସରରେ ପ୍ରଫେସର ସିଂହ କହିଲେ, କେନ୍ଦ୍ରମନ୍ତ୍ରୀଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଏହି ପୁରସ୍କାର ଗ୍ରହଣ କରିବା କିଟ୍‍ ପାଇଁ ଅତ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଗୌରବର ବିଷୟ। ଏହା କିଟ୍‍ ଓ କିସ୍‍ ପ୍ରତିଷ୍ଠାତା ଅଚ୍ୟୁତ ସାମନ୍ତଙ୍କ ଦୂରଦୃଷ୍ଟିପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଭିତ୍ତିଭୂମି ଏବଂ କିଟ୍‍ର ଅଧ୍ୟାପକ, କର୍ମଚାରୀ ଏବଂ ଛାତ୍ରଛାତ୍ରୀଙ୍କ ସାମୂହିକ ଓ ଉତ୍ସର୍ଗୀକୃତ ପ୍ରୟାସର ସ୍ୱୀକୃତି ବୋଲି ସେ କହିଥିଲେ।
